I have been so fortunate to have been photographing sweet Ava for a couple of years now, and I must say it’s more rewarding each time we get together for a photo shoot! Ava is the adorable child of a fellow local photographer friend of mine, and her mom and I both know how difficult it can be to take the camera out and have our children run for the hills–or, when forced to stand within range of the camera, give eye rolls or some face that they know drives us nuts when we’re trying to capture precious moments of our kids. Our own children are the worst ‘models’ for us moms, but are curiously so great for others–and Ava did not disappoint!
She was so excited to be 4 and couldn’t wait to hang with me and dance and have fun. Wow, did we have fun, too! We spent a cool Sunday morning in Old Sacramento and took advantage of the really neat old-style buildings, brick, and cool things to jump and play on. She was just overflowing with cute-ness and I couldn’t stop capturing the moments of her laughs and how she would tell me a joke and crack herself up in the process–and me, too. Four year old humor is the most endearing thing and I was thrilled to be there in the moments with her, so much so that I was sad when we were done.
Big hugs to Ava and one of my favorite sessions to date. I even went home and shared some of her silly jokes with my own kiddos and we giggled and laughed. Happy 4th Birthday, Ava, may all your birthday wishes come true!
