I really enjoy doing extended family photo sessions because everyone is always so happy to see each other, kids and adults, and there’s a festive mood in the air. Also because I know that I’m capturing something very special for the group of families–rare moments when everyone comes together and enjoys themselves, moments that aren’t just about taking the photos, but the session itself acts as a sort of reunion for them to gather that they’re going to remember forever. Multiple generations are together and the photos will no doubt be passed down for many generations. So yeah, these types of sessions have a lot of meaning.
And let me just say, this group was a blast to work with! So much positive energy and love all around these guys, and the jokes were flowing. Grandma was laughing, all the siblings were a riot, and the kids were the sweetest ever.
With a passion for capturing the innocence of childhood and the organic connections shared between family members, it is my goal to provide you with tangible memories of the most precious moments of your lives. I specialize in celebrating childhood milestones from birth all the way through high school graduation, as well as capturing the everyday magic of a child as seen through their eyes. Through my lens, I strive to create a beautiful balance of stunning family portraits interlaced with authentic, un-posed and unscripted moments that showcase your family’s unique charm. I believe in celebrating YOU as you are at this moment and capturing the details that tell YOUR story to preserve for you to share with those that you love and to experience again every time you look at your photographs.
