I am always so honored when other photographers ask me to take photos for them, and even more so when it’s to capture a significant occasion such as engagement photos for this adorable couple! Bree is a super talented local newborn photographer and so full of spunk and has an energy that draws you in. Ryan is the sweetest, funniest guy and the two of them together are ridiculously cute–seriously. She came to me with a vision of what she and Ryan wanted for their photos and I was instantly on board. Since we were having an unpredictable and wet winter, our plans for her session in snow was a bit tricky, and it seemed as though either the weather was always too wet and windy when it snowed, or it was too warm and the snow melted immediately. Her backup plan was just as exciting, if not better, because one of her important shots was to be deep in the tall trees with the gorgeous light flowing in. The location was breathtaking and full of beautiful, tall trees. And lots of poison oak! We put on our boots and trekked right into all of it to capture some amazing shots. One thing I loved about them is as we were standing knee-deep in poison oak, jokes upon jokes were told and they just carried on like I wasn’t even there. He was even so chivalrous as to carry her out of the area afterward.
They brought their sweet dog, Bruiser, along, too, and of course I had to capture some shots of him being so dang cute. He loved the attention and of course stole the show in some shots!
Ryan and Bree, you are truly a beautiful couple in love and I want to congratulate you both on your upcoming wedding! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture the love between you two and the moments that make you two so harmonious.
