So in the heart of south Tacoma there is this gorgeous park that has all the dry yellow grass and lots of beautiful trees to let the sun peek through as it is setting. It's downright perfect for a family session where everyone is free to move around and explore. That's exactly what we did...and then I had to ruin the moment and step on a hornet's nest...that was IN THE GRASS! I had no idea and (thankfully it was me and no one else!) led the group into a patch of pretty grass and ended up with angry hornets all over. Being that I am deathly afraid of bees, I did the only natural thing when I found out I was stung--I panicked and flipped out just a little. Slightly embarrassing but I didn't care. The coolest thing is that both mom and dad are in the medical field and they calmed me down pretty quickly. Spoiler alert: I am just fine, and of course we finished our session, just in another pretty patch of grass on the other side of the park.

I captured some beautiful moments of them all being a family of four before little sister made her appearance, and the kids were the sweetest with mom's belly. I coudn't get enough of how that gorgeous golden light was shining down on them and making for the best backdrop with mom and her belly.
